Our Foundation

Discover the origins of the North Shore Black Clergy Alliance and our commitment to serving the Black community of Lynn, Massachusetts. We are a unified voice dedicated to justice, compassion, and community empowerment.

A Vision Takes Root

In January 2025, Christian leaders from across the North Shore came together, recognizing a critical need within our community. The challenges facing the Black community have grown significantly over the past two decades. Pastors and leaders of local congregations understood the urgency for a stronger, unified voice to represent the diverse Black community, enabling us to engage powerfully in local and regional civic decisions.

Our Guiding Principles

Inspired by the teachings of Jesus, we believe that faithful believers must use their power to heal individuals and communities. This involves acting justly, showing compassion, and creating pathways of mercy for those in need. Like the psalmist, we find hope in the promise that "the Lord secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy" (Psalm 140.12). We follow God's instruction through Isaiah: "Learn to do right; seek justice."

Working Together

The North Shore Black Clergy Alliance is willing to work within Lynn by engaging with community organizations focused on housing, development and other local issues. We are dedicated to fostering positive change and empowerment through collaborative efforts.

"The North Shore Black Clergy Alliance is a beacon of hope and a powerful voice for our community. Their dedication to justice and compassion is truly inspiring."
